“Yellow”

"Yellow"

We now hear about conflicts, wars, and signs of conflict in our daily lives.
This sharing of information brought about by globalization reminds us that no matter where we are in the world, we are a part of each and every one of these events.
In developing the collection under the theme of JOSEPH BEUYS from last season, I had the opportunity to think deeply about the wounds caused by war. (Many of BEUYS's works are related to the wounds caused by World WarⅡ)
And last season, we created a collection based on the theme of acceptance of those wounds and their healing.

With the daily news from Ukraine reporting the devastation, I began to think deeply about the roots of conflict.
I have come to realize that it is not caused by differences in race, culture, or thought, but by a lack of tolerance. acceptance, and generosity that is necessary.
No matter what differences in thinking or cultural differences exist, if there is tolerance and generosity in accepting each other, there will be no conflict. This collection is an expression of the generosity and tolerance that we possess, as well as of the appeal and potential of human beings, who are both vulnerable and strong at the same time.

MOTIFS
The motifs on many of the items in this season are designed with a "person" as a symbol of imperfection and a "geometrie pattern as a symbol of perfection.
It also shows that this world was created both perfect and imperfect, and it simultaneously represents the flexibility of people and thought, and the rigidity of geometry and logic.
In other words, it is a metaphor for the fact that the world requires not only complete rules and principles, but also flexible human thinking.

CUTTINGS
Many of the cutting patterns used in the collection are composed of overlapping or combined patterns. This represents the beauty of tolerance and generosity, where different things accept each other.

GRAPHICS
The graphics symbolize acceptance of wounds, a theme from last season. Needle punching the holes in the floral textile creates a dot-like pattern is created on the reverse side of the textile.
It is the beauty that is created by wounds, and main graphic of this season is a floral pattern developed by fine dots.
It symbolize that wounds can be beautifully transformed by acceptance.

UNFINISHED DETAILS AND CUT OUT FINISHINGS
Many details are created without finishing, or the details themselves are cut out of the design. This expresses the beauty to be found in imperfection and the unique charm of imperfection.
The various details and cuts in this collection represent what I see as human potential and hope. and mv hope is that they will inspire us to rethink our society and ourselves. Our clothes are an expression of our own stance and thoughts. I believe that the creativity, aesthetics, flexibility, and generosity that we nurture in our clothing are essential elements to bring kindness and peace to the world.
